Registration: Only registered candidates can participate in the Counseling /Admission on the specified dates.

Candidates can register online on www.sitpune.edu.in as per the following schedule
SET –                    8^th June, 2012
AIEEE/IIT-JEE – 15^th June, 2012
MHT-CET –         22^nd  June, 2012
at the registration desk.

Candidates who have appeared in SET must do Institute registration for Counseling /Admission.

Candidates can  also register on Registration Desk on the date of Counseling /Admission between 9:00am to 10:00am  by payment of Rs.1000/- for SET register candidate & Rs. 1500/- for AIEEE/IIT-JEE/MHT-CET.

Counseling / Admission: The candidate has to be personally present along with the original Certificates and two sets of Attested Photocopies of the certificates on the date of Counseling /Admission.

Procedure: Arrival of the candidate to the venue of Counseling /Admission at Symbiosis International University, Gram-Lavale, Tal. Mulshi. Pune-412 115.
Transport: Transport from Symbiosis Society, Senapati Bapat Road, to the University will be arranged. See the details under Transport.
For Accommodation: See details under Accommodation.

Marking of attendance at the reporting counter.

The Candidate will be given a Provisional Admission Form (blank) on production of print out of Registration form.

Verification of  Documents/ Certificates

Checking of document and their entry on the form. (The Original Certificates will be retained along with two sets of Attested Photocopies. The receipt of documents will be issued.  The original certificates will be put in an envelope & sealed and particulars of the candidate will be written on it. The Original Certificates can be returned on request.)
If a student wants the  certificates back , he/she can fill up the request form and sign the receipt.

The Candidate will enter the Auditorium / Convention Hall where Counseling for Admission is to take place.

In the Auditorium/Convention Hall all available seats, branch wise & category wise will be displayed in the beginning and during the entire Counseling process.

The candidate will be called on stage in Order of Merit.

 The Candidate will choose a seat among the available seats.

As and when a seat is allocated, this would be subtracted from the available seats and the remaining seats will be displayed.

Counseling will continue till all seats are filled up.

When a student gives his consent against a vacant seat, the branch chosen by him will be entered on the provisional admission form on the admission desk. If however a student doesn’t opt for any branch, he/she can take his Certificates back.

The Candidate will now deposit  Rs.50,000/- as the Provisional admission Fee by DD in favor of “Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune” payable at Pune

The Accountant will enter the Fee receipt details on the Provisional Admission Form.  The Student will sign the undertaking on the Provisional Admission Form.

 Confirmation of Admission by the Admission Committee.

 The Student will collect the Provisional Admission letter from the Director’s office.

Waiting List: The Candidates who would not be able to get a seat of their choice can apply for Waiting List by filling up the Waiting List form, on payment of Rs.50, 000/- through Demand Draft of any Nationalized Bank. In case of Non Allocation of seat, the Draft will be returned.

 Branch Change: A student can apply for branch change by filling up the branch change form. Procedure adopted for branch change will be as under

Management Quota: A student can apply for a Management Quota seat by filling up the required form.

Bank Loan: Students who take Provisional Admission and who want to apply for bank loan can give an application in the prescribed format for a fee certificate; certificate will be issued to them on the same day.

Transport: Pune is well connected by Air, Rail & Road transport to all parts of the country. Special arrangements will be made for transport of the candidates and their parents/guardians from Symbiosis, Senapati Bapat Road, and Opposite Pass Port office (8 km from railway station) to Symbiosis Institute of Technology and back.
All candidates and their parents/guardians who plan to attend the counseling may send their travel plan and request for any help needed by them.

Accommodation: All the candidates are required to make their own arrangements for stay, however limited accommodation is available on first come first serve basis at SIT Hostels. Candidates and their parents/guardians can send their request at accommodation@sitpune.edu.in

Withdrawal:  Following deductions  will be made in case  a student wishes to withdraw:
Before the start of classes: Rs.1000/- & the actual charges of hospitalization insurance.
Within one month of start of classes: Rs.1000/- plus pro rata deduction of fee.
After one month of start of classes: Only security will be refunded.
