Eligibility

Indian Students

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams:  Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) or JEE (Main) or MHT-CET.


International Students (NRI / PIO/ Foreign Nationals)

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Do not have to appear for entrance exam (SET/JEE-Main/MHT-CET) in India

IB / Cambridge Board (IGCSE) Students:
Following eligibility rules will be followed for according equivalence to school level certificate of IB / Cambridge board student:

a] IB Board:
The candidate must have been awarded full IB Diploma as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level (HL), with a minimum score of 24 credits and completion of other mandatory requirements for award of IB Diploma. DP course certificate by IB shall NOT qualify for equivalence.

b] IGCSE Examinations :
A candidate intending to join professional course at the institute must have passed a minimum of 5 subjects including English. The candidate must have passed subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry in ADVANCED LEVEL (A Level) and English at a minimum of ORDINARY Level (O Level) in A, B or C Grade.
The conversions of IB and IGCSE Examination grades to the scores that are used are as suggested on the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) web portal.

Scheduled Caste : 15%

Scheduled Tribe : 7.5%

Differently able students : 3%

 

Policy of admission against vacant seats under reserved category
In case some seats remain vacant in reserved categories, these will be converted to General Category after seeking approval from Vice-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University.
