Report on study tour june 2019



Day 1: 11th June 2019

Morning at 7 AM reporting at Mumbai Airport.

A group of 39 students reported at Mumbai airport. Dr. Mrinal and Prof Shilpa kept a follow up of the students and Prof Shilpa had taken responsibility to distribute the excursia T shirts.

Reached Frankfurt airport on 11th June evening.

Day 02: 12th June 2019

TU Darmstadt, Germany

We really appreciate the time that we spent in Darmsadt University, it was an amazing experience to visit the library, laboratory, lecture hall and others facilities at the universities. We got to know the innovative teaching learning methodology, research culture in German university.

The groups of 39 students were divided into two groups and a university expedition was done. In the process students along with faculty visited the classrooms and witnessed a live class going on the topic feedback control system the delivery of lecture was to 130 students in each class with big screens and audio visual system for better teaching and learning process. Library was a separate building and we got to know the research culture and environment.

BASF Factory employs a workforce of over 39,000 at its head office in Ludwigshafen (on the Rhine) in southwestern Germany the products ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. We have certainly learned a lot about Industries. The students were divided into two groups again and were briefed about BASF history and current development followed by a complete tour.

Day 03: 13th June 2019

Mercedes Benz Museum Stuttgart, Germany

The museum is one of its kind that document in a single continuous timeline over 130 years of auto industry history , together with other exhibits, that form the centre piece of the permanent exhibition covering a total of 16,500 square meters in twelve rooms. Students were really excited to see the technology that’s fare ahead and futuristic. Students are happy to witness the culture and technological advances in Germany.

Constance Lake, Singen: Students also used public transport and this was a real confidence booster to all of us.


Day 04: 14th June 2019

BMW Welt Museum, Germany

Allianze Arena football stadium

Day 06: 16th June 2019

Traveling from Munich to Frankfurt via Heidlelberg The sightseeing at Heidleberg was canceled due to heavy traffic and time constrains We had to catch flight in the evening from Frankfurt to Mumbai.


Day 07: 17th June 2019

Reached Mumbai airport at 6.30 AM

Dr. Mrinal and Prof Shilpa kept a follow up of the students and tried to take every possible care of students during the tour .

Overall it was a great learning experience!
