SIT Pune has successfully conducted the second session through Cyber Blockchain Club Tech Weekend under the guidance of Sonali Kothari, PhD. It is our pleasure to organize this session with Taniya Agrawal as our speaker for the day.

The session was focused on various topics related to cyber security, bug bounties, and different types of bugs, with a special emphasis on 'idor' and 'rate limit' and their real-time application.

The audience was introduced to different types of bugs, such as broken access control, response manipulation, and IDN homographic attack. The session also included a live bounty-hunting session on a live website.

The event was handled by Atishay Jain and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ishan S.. We are extremely grateful to Taniya Agrawal for sharing her expertise and making the session interactive and informative. The audience gained immense knowledge on cyber security and bug bounties during the session. We are grateful to our Director Dr. Ketan Kotecha for motivating us, and to HoD Dr. Deepali Vora for their continuous guidance. We want to thank all participants for joining the 24th and 25th March sessions, the CBC team for their never-ending work in making each event of CBC successful. Our team, consisting of myself along with Yajushreshtha Shukla and Saksham Gupta has been hard at work creating a new feedback system for SIT- Symbiosis Institute of Technology , designed to improve the student experience and make it more user-friendly.

With the help of our CSE Head, Dr. Deepali Vora, we were able to develop this feedback system by using her precious resources and utilities for this project. Her guidance and support have been invaluable in ensuring that the system is both robust and efficient.

In addition, we were motivated to move forward with this idea and contribute towards a better college technical infrastructure by our Deputy Director, Arundhati Warke. Her support has been instrumental in the successful development and testing of this system.

Yajushreshtha and Saksham played critical roles in the development and user interface of this system. With their contributions and the support of our CSE Head and Deputy Director, we were able to create a system that is not only productive but also very user-friendly.

“Discussions and Workshops are essential for building and expanding ideas brought forward.” Prasanna Kulkarni, from Symbiosis Institute of Technology - Symbiosis Society of Cyber Security (SOCS) - a student wing of Block chain club, conducted the first workshop on Nmap for the students at SIT illustrating the environmental setup for Ethical Hackers and Penetration Testers, including Kali Linux and Back Box. Furthermore, the workshop focused on basic terminologies and methodology for web application hacking and server hacking, explaining password-cracking methods like brute force attacks, hybrid attacks, dictionary attacks, and many more to crack web server passwords.

A brief demonstration of tools like nslookup and Nmap, which are used by hackers to gain access to uncontrolled ports on a system, and we can proceed with the same, hping3, etc. In addition, the students got the opportunity to see Live Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing on Demo websites.
